We educate and screen every driver
All ACT Cabs drivers must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
Every driver undergoes a nationally coordinated criminal history check on an annual basis and must maintain a current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. Our drivers are trained in the use of security and safety features and in managing challenging situations professionally.
We ensure our drivers are compliant to drive under both ACT legislation and NSW legislation.
Poor behaviour is not tolerated at ACT Cabs. Drivers identified as engaging in unacceptable conduct are required to complete compulsory remedial training and will be reassessed for suitability to drive with ACT Cabs, or may be permanently removed.

Vehicles you can trust
We conduct mandatory vehicle inspections every few months, meaning every taxi in our fleet is safety-checked more frequently than a typical ride-share vehicle.
These inspections cover the exterior, interior, and mechanical systems, from ensuring roadworthiness, functioning seatbelts, GPS devices, in-vehicle cameras and alarm systems, to verifying cleanliness and maintaining photographic records of the vehicle.
All ACT Cabs drivers and operators are required to hold the appropriate level of insurance coverage.
Every vehicle carries our distinctive, prominent ACT Cabs branding, making it easy to identify your taxi and reducing the risk of getting into the wrong car.
Whenever you ride with ACT Cabs, you’ll see your driver’s photo ID prominently displayed, including their identifier number and cab number, so you know you’re travelling with a qualified, police-checked professional. When you book with us and provide your mobile number, you’ll generally receive an SMS with your driver’s details as they approach.
